Design clutter, refined

Collectively, we are inspired by the materials that we accumulate in our day-to-day lives as designers.

In our case, our “design clutter” - the remnants of our design processes - accumulate and encapsulate us within our studio environment. With our piece, we sought to redefine this accumulation of design clutter by applying a systematic method of organization and hierarchy. We collected, sorted, cast, and refined our amassed materials into the form of a tower. Like the towers found in Architecture, our resulting sculpture gave the materials stature and significance in their setting
